As y’all know, I’ve been moonlighting as a freelance writer and editor for some time now, and I’m considering making the jump to fulltime. It’s a really scary thought between the health insurance and the cost of my mortgage, but the more I think on tit the more convinced I become that I’d be such a happier and more well rounded person if I weren’t working nine to five. I started by researching Clear wireless internet information online so I could see how much internet would cost, a crucial element to this whole writing business. I then went to Office Depot and priced out a desk – can you believe I didn’t own a desk? – and a new laptop because, well, I need one. I think I’ve decided that the cost is doable and though it’s really scary, I may talk to my boss in another week or so. Paid vacations are going to be hard to give up, but it’s going to be so nice to get home before 8PM every night!
